Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA-Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) became the location of the Jamboree of Eco Enzyme Indonesia Volunteers (REEI) on Saturday, February 4, 2022 at the Reservoir, UNESA Campus Lidah Wetan, Surabaya. The event was attended by volunteers from various regions, East Java Environmental Agency (DLH Jatim) and UNESA leadership and Himapala.
Dr. Bachtiar Syaiful Bachri, M.Pd., Vice Rector for Law, Governance, Finance, Resources, and Business of UNESA said that the 'One Step in Front' campus is very supportive of environmental activities. This can be seen from various aspects, including the eco campus with various innovations and programs that invite people to be aware of sustainable living environment.
In addition, UNESA campus development is also based on environmental awareness. This can be seen from the Merdeka Belajar Laboratory (Labmer) which is intended as a place for recreation, education and conservation. In the area behind the rectorate, there are various types of plants or trees.

There are also various animals such as deer, peacocks and pigeons. The spirit is that the campus forest is a place to educate the importance of sustainable environmental awareness that supports the activities and processes of learning and teaching students.
“The leadership of UNESA fully supports this activity and it is expected to be carried out in a sustainable manner because this includes our obligations as human beings,” said the man who is familiarly called Pak B.

This activity was marked by the procession of pouring 1,000 liters of eco enzyme in UNESA Lake by REEI, East Java DLH and UNESA leaders. This is intended to improve the water biota of the lake. Furthermore, they also spread 25,000 fish and shrimp seeds.

In addition to pouring eco enzyme and fish seeds, the National REEI Jamboree held a procession of planting 1,000 trees by the lake. The trees planted were guava trees to eucalyptus oil plant seeds. By planting this tree, it will be able to provide wider benefits, both for humans and the environment.
Bukuh Priyonggo, the chief executive of the activity said that this activity has a great influence on volunteers so that they are more motivated and enthusiastic to socialize the use of eco enzyme by bringing in ambassadors from various regions, one of which is the Eco Enzyme Ambassador from Himapala UNESA. “Hopefully everyone can get to know and utilize eco enzyme so that this earth becomes healthy and sustainable,” he concluded.[]
