News Photo: UNESA Dormitory Residents Learn Fire Response with Surabaya City Fire Department

Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA - Officers and residents of the Surabaya State University (UNESA) Dormitory participated in disaster response training with the Surabaya City Fire Department at the Dormitory Page, Lidah Wetan Campus, Surabaya on Friday, September 15, 2023.

On this occasion, participants consisting of students, security and cleaning service began with the provision of basic fire response material. In addition, under the guidance of firefighters, participants also tried a simulation of how to extinguish a fire using a light fire extinguisher or APAR. Also using a simulation of extinguishing using burlap sacks.

This activity is a mitigation effort of the UNESA Dormitory Directorate to anticipate fires and equip dormitory residents with fire disaster response skills. This activity was attended by the leadership of the Dormitory Directorate. While from Damkar, Hariyanto and his team were present. (*)
